I was talking to two friends of mine from Cali who are currently residing in Florida. One asked me if I watched the high speed car chase today through LA. I, of course, had not since I wasn't watching TV at all today. So she told me about the Chase Parties. Apparently it is an impromptu party unless you are privy to the criminal mind behind the wheel. As soon as the chase is featured live on the news, you set up, call all your friends and take bets on when it will end and how.
Oh the Joy of the big city.

There was a show that Jennifer Grey was on called "It's Like You Know" about someone moving to California and learning about all the little quirks and low and behold, they had one of these high speed chase parties. In Illinois we all just go out and drink whenever a politician in arrested by the FBI. (We drink a lot...)
